Akeneo v1.7 introduces two new features:
- Akeneo Teamwork Assistant
- Akeneo Web API
The Akeneo Teamwork Assistant tool is used collaboratively and improves how a team works together to manage content. This minimises the wasted time spent guessing what products need to be enriched as the Teamwork Assistant does it all.
It scans all the products you’ve selected and then assigns specific tasks to different members of your team. Time is saved as merchants no longer need to delegate the work or have the hassle of creating Gantt charts.
It is the ultimate collaboration tool!
Akeneo Web API
Version 1.7’s second new feature has been a highly anticipated one in the Akeneo Community. Akeneo Web API gives consumers the ability to interact with their product catalogue in both read and write mode – which is an absolute dream come true for any eCommerce business.
You can also build a connector in any language on top of the Akeneo platform and still expect exceptional scalability. Understanding of the Symfony framework is not required as you can easily develop your tools and connectors to spread product information to marketplaces and eCommerce websites in a language of your choice.
